What do you hope attendees will gain at your webinar?
Miles – I think that that the attendees of our webinar will see that we believe the success of New Product Introduction (NPI) / Product Industrialisation is dependent on a robust Scope and Objectives and our approach to this is that one process does not fit all and therefore the allowance of flexibility is crucial.
Neil – Some insight into the device development process employed at Bespak and how we can support our customers to establish robust manufacturing strategies throughout this process to manage risk and deliver product at the right quality, at the right time from concept to launch.
What discussions do you look forward to having with the attendees?
Miles – I look forward to discussions around the different process and approaches to NPI and how you can make these work for you and not against you in different scenarios.
Neil – Discussions on the challenges they face in developing and industrialising robust device concepts in increasingly competitive and highly regulated market landscapes.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Miles – I love that no day is ever the same. I enjoy the element of problem solving and providing guidance, internally and externally based on my experiences of New Product Introduction to date both in a Commercial and Technical capacity.
Neil – The variety of working across a wide portfolio of development programmes and using my experience and passion to achieve the best results for our customers and ultimately our device users
How did you get into the industry?
Miles – My first ever Job was working for a local In-Vitro Diagnostics manufacturer.
Neil – I started out my career in FMCG with Unilever and then moved to Philips to support them in their transition to be a more consumer focused development organisation. Within Philips I led a new breast pump development programme which was my first introduction to the regulated world of medical devices.
Where is your favourite place in the world and why?
Miles – Whilst I have many places in the world I would like to visit or return to, I think one of my favourites is Italy, for the weather, culture and of course the food.
Neil – Anywhere where there are mountains as I am a keen skier, mountain biker and ultra trail runner….living in Norfolk can be quite frustrating!
