Innovative Revenue Stream/Exceptional Guest Satisfaction

The hotel industry was hard hit by the Covid-19 crisis. It may take years for recovery. Owners and managers must look at new ways to operate, to attract safety-conscious guests and to generate new revenue streams to accelerate that recovery.

Many hotel operations are looking at ballrooms and meeting rooms and recognizing it may be quite some time before people are comfortable gathering in large groups. They are looking for ideas about what to do with unused space.

Whereas some may be considering converting real estate to retail or office space, we have an innovative solution that will please your guests as well as your accountants and shareholders. Escape rooms offer private, safe, small group adventure experiences ON YOUR PROPERTY. Quick R.O.I. Turnkey installations.

Register TODAY for this informative webinar to learn about how hotels and resorts can capitalize on this emerging entertainment phenomenon and introduce significant NEW revenue to their operation.

Presented by

Laura Hawkins,

President, Gamemasters Escape Solutions

While travelling in Europe in 2014, Laura and her family became obsessed with the phenomenon of escape games after playing in Dublin, Athens and Paris. Upon return to Canada, they immediately set to work to open Enigma Escapes in Winnipeg. Six years later Enigma Escapes operates in three locations in Winnipeg and, through their associated company Gamemasters Escape Solutions, has provided fully turnkey rooms throughout North America, currently operating in 26 different cities. Recognizing an opportunity for hotels and resorts for significant revenue generation, Laura and her team embarked on a strategy to market to hotels and resorts in Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and beyond.

Matt Ream,

Real Escapes Manager, Massanutten Resort

Matt Ream is a graduate of James Madison University where he earned his Bachelors (’05) and Masters (’06) degrees in Special Education. After graduation, Matt joined Massanutten Resort full time as the Manager of the Kids’ Club Program where he planned and implemented educational programing serving 5,000+ youth of all abilities annually.

Seeing the growing popularity of escape rooms, Matt suggested the idea to open one at Massanutten and in 2017 the Lucky Duck Escape Room opened to quickly become one of the most popular attractions at the resort. After the success of the original escape room, the resort decided to expand the department to include 2 additional rooms and a Virtual Reality Arcade, and Matt transferred to become the full-time manager of these attractions. Under his leadership, Real Escapes has experienced tremendous success, with escape rooms being booked on average 90% full. The department became profitable within 3 months of opening.

Matt is an active board member of the Shenandoah Valley Travel Association as well as active in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work, Matt resides in Augusta County, Virginia with his wife, Heather, two daughters, Lidia and Vayda, and their adopted dog, Izzy.
