Michael began working with Alexander Battery Technologies in 2009 by providing strategic guidance for its growth while employed by its private equity owner. In 2015, Michael shifted to a full-time manager of the Company as COO where he focused on operational improvements before becoming President & CEO in 2017. As President, Michael oversees the Senior Management Team and continues to provide strategic direction through market evaluation, customer and product targeting, and overall resource management. The latest successful challenge for Alexander was navigating the difficulty posed by Covid-19 where the Company’s products were in extremely high demand due to their mission critical nature and Alexander emerged with extraordinarily strong delivery performance.
Mark Rutherford,
Operations Director
Mark joined the company in 2016 and has been the Operations Director at Alexander Battery Technologies since 2019. During this time, he has overseen the operational improvements in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing and Customer Services that have delivered a 3-fold increase in turnover and significant reduction in the lead time required to turn concepts into manufactured product. Mark leads the team that works closely with all customer and supplier stakeholders to ensure that optimal value is added, efficiently, at all stages of a product lifecycle and that the customer remains at the heart of everything we do. Mark is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.
Greg Weber,
Sales Director
Mr. Weber has held his career in rechargeable battery business since 1989, in both Sales and Application Engineering. Since 2014, Mr. Weber has had overall responsibility for new sales development for Alexander Battery Technologies. This role includes finding the new business and managing the new product development over the sales cycle. Greg also has the responsibility of strategic marketing, development of Alexander Technologies via website and promotion of the company through SEO, social marketing, and trade show attendance. Greg holds a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and has had extra training in Sales and Marketing as well as Battery Technology.
