Dominic heads up GlobalData’s international packaging consulting operations. He has 36 years’ experience in international marketing research and consultancy, specialising primarily in the analysis and forecasting of packaging markets.

Dominic has a BA Honours Degree in Modern Languages from the University of London, holds the technical Diploma of the UK Packaging Society and is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society. He has managed over 600 international market research projects and undertaken consulting work for most of the world’s leading packaging converters and their suppliers.

Julie Vargas,

Director, Global RFID Market Development

Julie leads the Global RFID Market Development team for the food sector, where RFID is building new capabilities for supply chain traceability, food inventory management and convenience retail. Her global team drives accelerated market adoption of the core use cases for digital identity adoption in restaurants, grocery and food supply chains worldwide.

During her tenure at Avery Dennison, Julie also played a key role in global market development for technology solutions and partnered with retailers and brands to implement innovative RFID strategies. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Julie led product and business development for interactive RFID fixtures in Latin America and was a senior analyst at Coach where she helped launch the buy online pickup in store program. Julie has shared her expertise at global events including SXSW, the GS1 US Digital Convergence Forum, PI Apparel, the Wearable Technology Show, the Internet of Things Summit and Label Summit Latin America. She holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
