As clients continue to migrate and modernize more of their mission-critical business applications and workloads, the security of these workloads continues to be of the utmost priority in any hybrid cloud strategy. IBM Cloud implements a complete edge-to-cloud security architecture that can deliver continuous compliance. Through a strong security-led ecosystem, IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions offers cloud workload protection, and a cyber risk and compliance management platform for its clients. IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions is integrated with IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Services, the same state-of-the-art cryptographic technology relied upon by banks and financial services, and now, via IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions, available to cloud users. This is the industry’s first and only FIPS 140-2 Level 4-certified technology in the public cloud market, offering the highest level of key protection available, and consists of the same technology that forms the backbone of the IBM Enterprise Blockchain solution.

Our partnership with VMware allows IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions to radically transform networking and security within the cloud environment by implementing a ‘Virtual Cloud Network’, built on VMware’s NSX technology. This unique networking and security platform provides a ubiquitous software layer across data centers, clouds and the edge, and delivers greater IT agility, automation and modernized security that supports the diverse requirements of applications and digital transformation initiatives, not only today but also into the future.
