Pharmaceutical Packaging Design

The pharmaceutical and medical device industries are going through a transformative shift from volume-based outcomes to value-based outcomes. This has required a change in reimbursement strategy to include placing the patient at the centre of their agendas. Design Partners present points of view on how to build greater patient engagement and brand differentiation.

The Webinar will explore a process-driven methodology for packaging design, development and transition to manufacturing. With the objective of building user engagement, the process will detail primary research methodologies to empathetically understanding user needs and barriers to use, combined with behavioural science and human factors engineering as developmental pillars to inform the design process. Understanding the importance of a patient care approach and the need to support the therapeutic alliance, which enables a high quality engagement between healthcare professional and patients for better outcomes.

The webinar will cover topics like; The importance of sensory engagement in the design to encourage greater engagement and to increase value perception; Understanding the need for experience prototypes in the development process for human factors analysis and technical development; The importance of early packaging vendor engagement for maintaining design.
