Plastic is entering a transformative age with sustainability and circularity at the heart of our industry. Today, packaging developers face the difficult task to design plastic packaging which is high performing but also contains a high content of recycled material and is easily recycled in commercial waste recycling centres.

Lyondellbasell’s Advanced Polymers Solutions (APS) division has developed Masterbatch Advanced Solutions to offer quality products that contribute towards sustainability and circularity. By offering our extensive technical and materials expertise we can be the partner of choice in innovation for our customers and together advance sustainable solutions.

The session will introduce you to our Advanced Solutions Portfolio in Masterbatch, including; Masterbatches for Recyclates, Design for Recycling solutions and an introduction to our masterbatches for Bio-based polymers.

Masterbatch for Recyclates are designed to improve processing when using post-consumer recyclate (PCR) as well as improving the performance and appearance of the produced plastic article.

Design for Recycling requires that collected waste plastics can easily be sorted in commercial recycling centres. Solutions include our Near Infra- Red (NIR) detectable range of black masterbatches and functional masterbatches providing solutions for the replacement of multi-material with mono-material packaging.
