With the ever changing economy, mergers and acquisitions will be a consistent business issue and understanding lessons learned from best-practice leaders could potentially help your organisation. This case study driven presentation will explore the operational and supply chain challenges that Merck and Serono experienced and will take an in depth view of what were considered the key strategies to help the merger and how it helped in achieving the forecasted business goals.
In the first part of the presentation, speaker Didler Dayen - Head of Supply Chain Business Franchises and Supply Network Operations from Merck Serono will discuss the impact of a reorganisation after Merck acquired Serono. He will examine the subsequent roll out of a Demand, Supply and Production planning project, which allowed the merged organisation to achieve a consistent set of planning processes across the whole pharmaceutical division.
