Dr. Robert Lammens is an experienced and acknowledged expert in the Pharmaceutical Technology, especially in dry granulation. He has received his Ph.D. in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Leiden (the Netherlands) in 1981. After that he joined Bayer AG in Leverkusen , where he worked for 23 years mainly in the field of solid dosage forms. In addition to his new position as the CTO of Atacama Labs, he will continue as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of University of Bonn, where he is coaching several Ph.D. projects in the field of granulation and tableting in close cooperation with the director of this department, Prof. Dr. Klaus-Jürgen Steffens. He is also an advisor to Gerteis Maschinen + Processengineering AG, the leading compactor vendor in the world technologyâ€wise.

Mr. Mittwich has worked in pharma industry since 1992 and has held several management positions within major European and international pharmaceutical companies, such as Sanofi-aventis, Aventis Pharma, and Pfizer. His latest position at Sanofi-aventis was Regional Business Director and CEO Winthrop Pharmaceuticals. Steffen Mittwich is Industrial Economics Engineer from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
