Particulate contamination is a very serious concern for a parenteral drug product, as particulates may affect drug quality in several ways and potentially lead to obstruction of blood vessels and inducement of immunogenicity. When looking at FDA recalls of drug products, many of the recalls appear to be particulate-related.
In this webinar, Nancy Liu of West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., (West) will discuss the particle spectrum and related regulatory requirements. She will also review how packaging materials can generate particulates and contribute to contamination of a drug product.

Senior Technical Account Specialist
Nancy Liu is the Senior Technical Account Specialist of West Pharmaceutical Packaging (China) Company Ltd. She graduated from Dalian University of Technology with a Master's degree in Polymer Materials Science and Engineering.
She provides technical support to customers in China, providing product recommendations, technical trainings and advice as required for customers' drug product applications. Since joining West in 2016, she has been providing extensive support to customers with her in-depth understanding of customer needs and industrial trends. She is familiar with regulations and testing requirements in China, US and EU.
