A strategic partnership approach to enable more reliable cost, quality and timeline performance for a portfolio of clinical studies

Measuring the success of a sponsor-CRO strategic partnership can be challenging for a number of reasons including

    • Different perspectives of each party
    • The need to measure a broad variety of success factors (time, cost, quality)
    • The need to measure the performance of a portfolio of clinical trials in addition to the performance of individual projects

This Webinar will review an approach that has been successfully implemented to plan, monitor, and control the performance of both individual clinical trials and a portfolio of trials.

The presenter shares his extensive firsthand experience and a focus on practical approaches and tools. Recent real life examples will be included, illustrating the benefits of a well designed and executed study planning, measurement, and control process.

A case study on earned value metrics takes a central place to illustrate how sponsors and Covance have developed innovative measures and improvement strategies to help achieve success in the collaboration. The examples include specific metrics, monitoring, and improvement strategies as well as tips to continuously improve the accuracy of collaboration planning processes.
