Advantages of Leveraging Disposable Bag Technologies For Process and Capacity Optimization
This discussion will cover common process requirements that can be addressed with disposable technology and critical considerations for each of those primary venues. We will focus on capacity implications, product integrity and time-to-market concerns for new and existing product campaigns.
While there are several common requirements regarding the selection and design optimization of single-use bioprocessing systems that will be discussed (i.e. closure-integrity, continuous supply, material qualifications, etc.) we will also address those requirements that are more specific to each major application venue. General examples will be provided and discussed in each of those areas.
Presented by
Jerry Branscomb,
Director of Bioprocess Applications
Jerry has been in the bioprocessing industry for over 20 years and has worked in Quality Control, Manufacturing, New Product Development and commercial roles through that period.
He has worked specifically in formulation, filtration, filling and transport of large-volume sterile liquids and large volume frozen products using single-use technology. Jerry also has experience optimizing and running stirred-tank bioreactors in mammalian and insect cell-culture applications. For the past several years he has worked with several major biopharma and biotech accounts to design and optimize single-use technologies within their facilities for a variety of applications.
