Streamlining Customs Clearance and the Import Process in the U.S., Russia, China, Sub-Saharan Africa
With the rapid growth of the global clinical trial industry, inefficiencies within the customs clearance procedure in key strategic markets can create significant bottlenecks for pharmaceutical companies, threatening to disrupt scheduling and drive up costs unnecessarily.
As part of World Courier’s ongoing informational series on pharmaceutical logistics, you are invited to attend a complimentary webinar on February 14, 2012 on the topic of Expediting Pharmaceutical Clearance in Strategic Markets.
In the first presentation, Peter Pinto, Lead Agent with the New York office of World Customs Brokerage, Inc., will examine the U.S. pharmaceutical import process in detail, outlining the critical steps that pharmaceutical shippers must take to ensure swift, problem-free clearance. Mr. Pinto will explore the procedures for bringing vaccines, human pharmaceuticals, chemical compounds and test kits, among other materials, into the U.S. and will use case studies to provide insightful illustration of best practices.
In the second part of the presentation, speakers Simon Beaumont, National Operations Manager for World Courier (U.K.) Ltd., and Leonard Lazurus, Sales & Marketing Manager for World Courier South Africa (Pty) Ltd., will shift focus to the challenging clinical trial markets of Russia, China and Africa. Together they will examine the different regulatory bodies that control the import process and discuss strategies and techniques for expediting clearance and meeting local regulatory requirements.
