Date: 19th October
Days old: 4858
Time: 3PM London / 10AM New York
Thinking Outside the Box!
The first part of this session will focus on the less common challenges of importation into emerging markets. Key areas of this webinar will focus on the challenges that face impeding clearance despite shippers having taken all necessary steps to allow an export / import to run smoothly.
The case studies that will be discussed will touch upon both controllable and non-controllable issues. The discussion will include airline issues, regulatory agencies and small oversights which can have a tremendous impact on transit times and other aspects of distribution.
Another focus point of the first part of this session will be an explanation of how small deviations can have insurmountable results on distribution. To highlight this discussion around changes that are made in logistic planning, documentation changes etc. and the end results. Depending on time we will briefly touch on points that address shippers’ responsibilities in regards to making changes after import permits are already in place at destination.
The second part of the presentation will focus on fragile infrastructures that often give rise to delays that can jeopardize the efficiency of the supply chain from Europe or North America and undermine the timely transfer of crucial supplies and lab specimens. Extreme temperatures fluctuations – whether seasonal or due to a diverse geography – can threaten the integrity of research samples and degrade high-value investigational drugs. Cumbersome regulatory environments and bureaucratic inexperience can impact import/export processes and upset scheduling. Diverse languages and time zones can impair communication between key personnel on-site and in the home office.
We hope you can join us at this presentation and learn how to shorten the supply chain and use regional or local professional infrastructure.
