Clinical trial management systems, the software tools that underpin modern clinical research, have evolved dramatically since CTMS technology debuted about 20 years ago and since 2011, when Pfizer conducted the first entirely web-based trial. Still, the systems the industry largely relies on today are outdated and in need of modernization.
This webinar will examine the evolution and impact of decentralized clinical trials — how these trends are vastly increasing the volume of study data and the sources from which it originates. It will illustrate why it’s imperative that the systems used to manage clinical trials evolve as well. CTMS must support all modern clinical research processes and manage their growing complexity, a goal supported by the launch in 2020 of the Decentralized Trials & Research Alliance, a non-profit that promotes collaboration to accelerate adoption of patient-focused, decentralized trials and research.
The webinar will illustrate how a modern CTMS that adapts to industry trends, such as decentralized trials and technology advancements, is essential for optimizing the clinical research process.
