Could you achieve project rework of less than 1%?
Why 3D Data Capture technology is important to you
The process of measuring and evaluating complex industrial assets has been transformed by 3D Data Capture over the past two decades.
Digital twins of as-built asset conditions are created using laser scanning and 3D capture technology. These digital assets are made up of point cloud data used in Engineering and Design throughout the lifecycle of the asset, especially in brownfield projects.
The laser scanning market alone is predicted to grow annually 14.9% each year to 2023 and adoption of UAVs in scanning has almost doubled in a year. More methods and more devices offer better data coverage. But how are we supposed to make sense of massive data and attain its best value?
Emerging data challenges
Large datasets from various sources need to be shared and visualised intuitively by many stakeholders. To get true value from a scan, that data needs to be available to diverse teams, throughout the asset's lifecycle.
How can you manage, store, add to, and keep up-to-date such a massive and valuable data source in an efficient way?
The Trusted Living Pointcloud
Discover the Trusted Living Pointcloud. An approach to working that enables you to handle, visualise and maintain 3D capture data throughout the lifecycle of your asset.
Reduce unnecessary on-site risks, cut rework costs and take control of your own data. This has helped to reduce project rework from 15% to less than 1%, saving millions.
In this webinar Gary Farrow will explain how it works in practice and addresses challenges you could be solving.

Vice President IM, LFM, Schematics
A global expert in laser scan technology, Gary has been involved in 3D laser scanning since its inception in the late 1990s, initially undertaking projects delivering data and 3D models. These included ground-breaking work with Volvo and a huge scanning project for Fluor/TCO in Kazakhstan. This early involvement gave Gary an insight into the fundamental requirements of efficient 3D data capture hardware, processes and most importantly software.
Today, now part of AVEVA, Gary works closely with companies in many industries undertaking digital transformation journeys to help them to take ownership of their critical engineering and 3D information. Gary has a Mechanical Engineering background.
