How an internally developed tool provided our personnel with enhanced control over our wells projects
In today's challenging world, risk management and efficiency are critical. In light of incidents over the past decade, there has been an increased focus on the oil and gas industry, well engineering and production processes. Lessons learned and best practice are often lost in organisations, mainly due to the transient nature of the oil and gas industry, an ageing workforce and inadequate systems. Additionally, projects are often delivered inconsistently across departments, regional offices and global organisations.
This presentation is aimed at demonstrating an application that SPD's well engineers and its development team have designed and built in order to address these issues internally. This application is now being used to manage projects at each of our offices across the world, as well as by operators who have implemented it.
