Life Science Talk: Aneta Manningtonova’s Blog – July Edition

Welcome to our July summer edition of our Online Newsletter: Life Science Talk. This issue is packed full of the latest information including our upcoming and on demand webinars and the latest news within the industry.

man dreams holidaysIt’s that perfect time of year to get away. Whether you’re from the Southern Hemisphere wanting to escape those cold winter blues or whether you’re based in the Northern Hemisphere where summer is in full swing – nothing beats some time to get away from work, relax and enjoy the things you love doing. Below our Operations Manager Kerry Bignell has given her thoughts on one of the ways that she enjoys her British summer time.

One of the things l look forward to in summer are the pop-up big screen showings that happen around London. Last year, after a busy day at work, some friends and I headed to Trafalgar Square with some snacks and drinks in hand. It was a hot day and fortunately the organisers were handing out free hats and blow up pillows to sit on. We picked a spot on the ground and got comfy, surrounded by groups of families, friends, tourists and of course the late comers trying to find a free spot. La Tosca was showing that day and I really enjoyed it! There’s a variety of opera and ballet performances that are beamed live from the Royal Opera House and you can go for free. It’s definitely worth going on a warm summer evening. Interested? Check it out here.

If you have a favourite holiday destination we would love to hear about it! It may even feature in next month’s newsletter.

Thank you to everyone who commented on our blog and participated in our quiz question last month. For those of you who missed it our question was:

True or False. The first drug to be isolated in pure form is Morphine?

The answer is True. If you fancy your chances at winning a voucher, simply answer this month’s quiz question – Good luck!

We hope you enjoy this issue and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming webinars.

Kind Regards,
