Making Cloud Count

Date: 1st May 2014

Venue: Andaz Hotel, 40 Liverpool St, London EC2M 7QN

The flexibility and cost advantages of the Cloud have already been well documented. But many public sector organisations still need to persuade their management to consider it as an option to drive transformation and then to make it happen.

The issues behind 'The How of the Cloud' are already being raised on Government Computing's influential 'The How of the Cloud portal' http://thehowofthecloud.com/. which over the coming months will feature a series of articles, including UKTI, Hart District Council, West Midlands Ambulance Service, and Wiltshire Council.

And now those issues will also be discussed in a business round table for public sector chief information officers and executive decision-makers taking place in the City of London. The round table will supplement the key issues already highlighted on the portal and provide practical advice and guidance on Cloud adoption. It will not simply promote Cloud as a way forward, but also help organisations move to the next stage, answering questions such as: What are the key steps in Cloud adoption? How do you make the business case? What are the useful lessons learned from early adopters? What advice would successful Cloud exponents offer to the other organisations? How can you make the Cloud fit the cost-challenged landscape of public services?

The venue for this roundtable will be the Hyatt Andaz Liverpool Street hotel. Located in the heart of the City, this boutique London hotel provides the perfect location for key public sector business and IT decision-makers and influencers to get to the heart of the public sector Cloud challenge.
