Date: 8th Jun 2011
Venue: Marco Pierre White's L'Escargot
A perfect setting for an evening of fine dining, discussion and networking.
Many companies are seeing private cloud as the logical next step, but are unsure of the implications of this new paradigm in enterprise computing, much less exactly where to start.
This CBR Dining Club will ask what is meant by private cloud, and also look at the implications in terms of security, governance, quality of service and management.
For instance, Gartner analysts have said that many companies will use virtualisation as a stepping-stone to private cloud computing. Yet the analyst firm also noted that security, governance and quality of service must all be approached very differently in virtual and private cloud environments, and not "bolted on" as an after-thought.
According to the research firm, private clouds will require security services that can separate workloads with different trust levels and qualities of service. But do companies have the level of transparency and control over their various workloads
Lots for you and your peers to discuss in the exquisite surrounding of L'Escargot, first opened in 1927 and serving the finest in French food all under the keen, critical eye of the infamous Marco Pierre White. Joining us for this fabulous evening will be a speaker from our sponsor Compuware (Imad Mouline). So join us for a wonderful 3 course meal and drinks, compliments of CBR and our sponsors for the evening.
