The “Connected car” use case
Machine to Machine (M2M) is a vast business area where various industries and technologies are converging and integrating together, such as car manufacturers, M2M platform providers and mobile network operators. However, the mobile communication networks remain the main enabling technology for most of the M2M applications. One highly revenue driving M2M application is “Connected Car” which is offered in most middle and high class cars offering a set of entertainment and infotainment features based on data, voice and SMS services. The SIM cards used have a special M2M profile and are typically embedded in the car.
In most use cases all those mobile telecommunication services are used simultaneously, both in mobility and roaming. Such complexity makes the verification and the monitoring of the service quality very difficult, in particular for the car manufacturer that might not have a deep In-House expertise on mobile communications, but also for the M2M platform vendors and the mobile network operators.
SIGOS provides a series of tools and respective expertise to measure the service quality of such complex M2M offerings supporting the involved parties to fulfil existing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) assuring best service quality for the end customers.
In this Webinar SIGOS will give an overview on how it is possible to perform a service pre-launch verification, monitoring the live service and perform troubleshooting with active testing.
