Drawing upon extensive research and practical experience of supporting companies in the development of strategies, Joss will explore the definition of sustainable strategies and companies, highlight the pitfalls and challenges faced by Sustainability/CSR practitioners and introduce some simple tools and approaches to support companies in developing unique, meaningful and business focussed sustainability responses.
Futureproof 2020 – Elopak’s Sustainability Strategy
Dagfinn will introduce Elopak’s journey to develop its groundbreaking approach to long term sustainability. He will provide insights into the practical implications of developing sustainability visions, building a detailed approach through the involvement of in-house expertise and how Elopak has structured and designed a route map for achieving its sustainability goals.
Achieving change in a value chain context
Both will highlight the need for companies to act beyond the strict boundaries of their businesses to achieve new forms of partnership, information and performance sharing. Highlighting Elopak’s whole value chain approach, they will identify challenges and opportunities presented by these new ways of working.

Dagfinn is Senior Manager Corporate Environment at Elopak. He has extensive international management experience both within Elopak and in other companies. Dagfinn is one of the initiators of Elopak’s Sustainability Strategy, named Future Proof Packaging. He has also established and implemented the environmental reporting system in Elopak that currently acquire and consolidate relevant sustainability parameters monthly from more than fifty units within the Elopak Group.

Joss is a recognised expert in sustainable corporate strategy, reporting and management. With 20 years’ experience in sustainability, he provides a mix of technical knowledge, passion and a track record of innovation.
Prior to Terrafiniti, he was responsible for the WWF publications “To Whose Profit?: Building a Business Case for Sustainabilityâ€, and “To Whose Profit(ii)?: Evolution – Building Sustainable Corporate Strategy†and was a Programme Director of the WWF International One Planet Leaders programme. Joss leads Terrafiniti’s strategic corporate consulting work.
