A new hydrogel membrane technology that enables you to optimize your downstream processes
As the biopharmaceutical industry shifts to a "flexible facility" manufacturing model, the limits of currently available downstream technologies combined with increased upstream performance has lead to a significant bottleneck in the processing of biopharmaceutical products. This is neither time nor cost effective. Advancements in downstream technology such as depth flow filtration have reduced this over time, however there is as yet no conclusive solution. A recently introduced platform of chromatography products will remove major barriers in this space and enable the shift to truly flexible manufacturing.
These products are based on Natrix HD membrane technology, which utilizes a 3D macro porous hydrogel that is completely functionalized and is capable of high capacity, high selectivity performance, and extremely high flow rates with fast binding kinetics, all in a disposable format.
The device design is optimized according to its mode of action: flowthrough (negative) or bind-elute (positive). These hydrogel membranes outperform current technologies like classical membrane adsorbers, resins and monoliths based on their binding capacity, operational flexibility and easy scalability.
This webinar will review the latest progress with Natrix chromatography tools, including results from case studies with binding mode cation exchange chromatography and flow through mode anion exchange chromatography.
