Keys to Securing the Right Resources Before You Dive In
The usage rate for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) in offshore applications has been growing steadily over the last 10 years. Just this year AUVs made global headlines when the US Navy used one to search for missing Malaysia Airline Flight 370 in a remote and very deep region of South Pacific. After it scoured over 850 square kilometres (330 square miles) of seafloor, authorities were able to discount the area as the final resting place of those on-board. The media coverage gave the public a glimpse into what AUV operations really are like day-to-day, dive-to-dive. But deploying an AUV and collecting data starts far before the vehicle hits the water.
Having spent nearly two decades demonstrating the capabilities, limitations and tremendous potential of AUVs, Bluefin Robotics can offer a unique perspective on how to adopt AUVs for successful, real-world implementations. In this webinar, experts will provide valuable insight on how to avoid pitfalls and stumbling blocks by addressing key factor early in the process. You will receive practical advice on shipboard concerns, crew and operations personnel requirements, maintenance expectations, and data management. Above all, we want you to walk away knowing that success below the surface is a function of preparation done on land.
Sign up for the webinar to learn about the realities and challenges you and our organization will face when adopting an AUV for offshore work.
