How quality gas engine oils can help address biogas, landfill and sewage gas challenges
With the world's population headed towards 9 million, global energy demand could increase by as much as 80% by 2050, with gas and renewable energy sources playing an increasingly important role.
In recent years, gas engines especially those fuelled by biogas, landfill and sewage gas, have seen a surge. By 2020 it is projected that
• China aims to have 300 million rural residents using electricity generated with biogas
• Europe will harness biogas capacity worth over 2 modern nuclear power plants
• US total market size for biogas manure will equate to 2% of all electricity production

However, biogas use is not without challenges – these gases often contain compounds which are undesirable for engine operations. This can cause severe damage, lead to increased maintenance and even result in complete engine failure.
In this webinar, Praveen Nagpal, Global Product Application Specialist for Power Engines, will share how the right lubricating oil can address challenges posed by biogas in engine operations.
You will also hear real life examples and discover how gas engine oils tailor-made for biogas can
• Enhance engine protection
• Improve oil drain intervals and
• Help reduce overall maintenance costs
Do not miss out on this opportunity to join Shell, the world's No. 1 lubricants supplier and specialist in power engines, as they share their experience in working with gas engine customers.
