The recent European Cancer Congress 2013 in Amsterdam was a great success, providing superlative surroundings for all participants to leverage knowledge, promote education and build awareness about oncology - reinforcing multidisciplinarity to work towards ensuring that every patient does indeed receive the best.
Over 18 000 participants from 120 different countries attended an outstanding 32-track programme containing the latest developments in cancer research, treatment and care, compiled by more than 200 Scientific Committee members. 300 programme sessions hosted over 3 368 presentations from 800 eminent invited expert speakers containing their latest data, knowledge and experience. A record number of 44 late-breaking abstracts presented practice-changing data in four presidential sessions.
